The Nook

The Nook Leura is a co-operative of artists, designers and craftspeople.

Retail

Leura

The Nook began in Jan 1996 with just 12 members at the historic “Everglades”at Leura. It moved to the current location in Leura Mall in September that same year. The shop has been trading consistently since its inception with the membership growing to between 25 to 35 people.

A co-operative of artists and artisans of the Blue Mountains allows visitors to experience unique, quality work  not generally seen elsewhere. It is a collective marketplace which showcases the work of local artists, designers and artisans.

Feel free to visit us 7 days a week, browse, shop or be inspired.

MTNS MADE acknowledges the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples as the Traditional Owners of Ngurra (Country) in the Blue Mountains.

Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future.

Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
