Performing Arts, Sound & Music
I suppose I am best known by my 300 plus concerts at Jenolan Caves from 1997 – 2013, either performing cello solo or with Gustaw Szelski on violin as the Paganini Duo, and I play the guitar.
Since 2014 I partnered with the Gingerbread House in Katoomba with a series called “Cello & Chocolate”. I enjoy the combination of half an hour concert (no one talks) a good break with delicious dessert followed by another half of the concert. The music includes me on cello either solo or with a duo partner, another cellist or another instrumental performer.
Looking back over the years concerts took me (or us) all through NSW, 2 Queensland tours, the Philippines plus solo concerts in Germany and Ireland. In the past (not anymore) more than 1000 weddings plus venue entertainment and other background adventures.
Since 1989 I teach cello and guitar between Penrith and Bathurst and Mudgee. Today I only teach privately.
From 1992 – 2000 I published together with Gustaw the “Directory of Musicians and Artists of the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Lithgow”.
My Youtube site is surprisingly well visited (more than 2 million viewers) as is my facebook site.
More recently I focussed more on composing and arranging music, which has either a cello or guitar in it, also a cello method and the beginning of a guitar method, which are at this stage available for free.
The compositions are available on my website or at “Sheetmusicplus”, a US sheet music distributor (the world largest).
I have published 12 CD’s and more are to come. The last 5 CD’s are Live recordings or recorded at my home and mastered / edited by me.
All CD’s are also available digitally with CD baby, iTunes & Amazon etc.
In 2012 I published a research of the 6 Bach Cello Suites on my website, which sheds a quite different light on their history.
